It’s my first sports massage, what can I expect?

You will be required to complete a client consultation form. The form  includes personal details and medical information. Once this is  complete, there may be a few short physical tests to check the range of  movement or posture, which will be dependent on the individual’s needs.

I don’t do any sports, is this for me?

Yes, a sports massage is aimed at all individuals who have an injury, ache or pain, no matter what the cause.

Will a single sports massage solve my problem?

Are your customers raving about you on social media? Share their great stories to help turn potential customers into loyal ones. This depends entirely on the nature of the injury, how it was sustained,  and how long it has been present. Some people require just one session,  and others need a few sessions of treatment before they regain full  range of motion.   If necessary, a set of exercises tailored to a client’s needs will  be demonstrated for further treatment. These exercises can be done at  home or in the gym, and will work in tandem with a sports massage to  help you overcome your issue.

What should I bring?

A pair of loose fitting shorts are ideal for a leg massage, while an  upper body massage would require only undergarments. Towels will be used  to drape the client where appropriate to prevent unnecessary exposure.  It is important that you feel comfortable, in order to obtain the full  benefits of a massage.

Where are you based?

Primarily at Dearne Valley College. However, I do offer a mobile service  in South Yorkshire, but this does incur additional travel costs. For more details, just get in touch - see the contact form .

How can I pay?

You can pay by cash, but I also accept balance transfers, and all major Debit and Credit Cards.

You can also pay online, using Paypal!
